Traditionally computer programmers were always seen as shy and geeky, but that myth is far becoming a thing of the past. There are more computer and website programmers out there than ever before and many are outgoing, popular people. As a programmer you need to be excited about problem solving, maths and coding languages. It may be that at school IT and Maths was always you’re to favourite subjects and science was a close third. You may have had a smug feeling when you did your first equation on Excel and realised that by typing in a few words you could get the PC to do all the hard work for you. If this sounds like you, then programming is definitely the right career path. Many programmers are self taught and actually enjoyed spending hours playing around and learning techniques. There are also quite a number of programmer groups out there, where like minded people meet to chat and share ideas.
